Tamara Linse is a writer, editor, and software dev. Her focus is translating the real-world into symbolic—whether that’s writing a novel, marketing for a client, editing an engineering dissertation, creating a website, or developing software.

Some facts about her.

  • She grew up on a ranch in northern Wyoming, U.S. She jokes that she was raised in the 1880s.
  • She read a lot growing up, and she loves literary fiction and sci fi, among other genres. She’s still going through a space phase.
  • She started coding in middle school but then switched to focus on writing in college. She then switched back to computers, but she’s done both all along.
  • She wrote her first journalism in high school, and she started her first company as a freshman in college.
  • She has written and published five novels and a short story collection. The short story collection earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly, and the sci fi novel received a starred review from Kirkus.
  • She earned two degrees in English and a degree in computer science. She’s currently working on a second degree in computer science.
  • She is an AI and blockchain evangelist.
  • She is creating a social utility platform called the Mesh - the Online Home of Real-World People - and she’s researching how to make a more prosocial internet.
  • Her day job is as a marketer, writer, and front-end dev for a university nonprofit.
  • She and her husband have twins, a golden retriever, two calico cats, and a mob of chickens.
